PatriciaVice, CRM, FAI, owner of Texas Security Shredding and Patricia Vice, CRM &Associates, Inc., is a well-known speaker and lecturer in the records andinformation management industry, conducting seminars for numerous professionalassociations, university programs, and various industry specific associations.Ms. Vice is active in the community in a variety ofways. By providing training programs on Identify Theft, RecordsRetention Programs, Disaster Planning and Preparedness, and Vital RecordsPrograms to professional development organizations, networking groups, chamberof commerce groups, and schools and universities, Ms. Vice shows herinvaluable support and passion to education. She is committed to being a good community steward by supportingrecycling and shredding events, and giving generously to our industrypartners, charity associations, and educational scholarships /institutions. 

 

As Chairmanof ARMA International Technical Research Committee, Ms. Vice authored andedited numerous technical research publications, currently available throughARMA. She has chaired three differentEducational Foundations during her career. Ms. Vice is one of only 52 ProfessionalRecords Managers internationally inducted into the prestigious Company ofFellow of ARMA 2002, which is the highest award granted to professionals in therecords management industry. Herselection was based on contributions she has made to the Records andInformation discipline in the last 30+ years. In 2009, she started Texas Security Shredding and a couple of yearslater she was selected to participate in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program atHouston Community College.

 

Patricia isa strong activist for records and information legislation that deals with theretention and destruction of data. It includes reviewing proposed legislationand providing feedback to professional organizations, such as ARMA, NAID, andAIIM.

 

As a certifiedWBEA and HUB company, which give Patricia the opportunity to network and buildbusiness relationship with other women owners. She conducts training sessionson “Mitigating Risk through Effective Records Management Programs,” “IdentityTheft,” “Using the Right Technology to Manage Information and Data,” “EffectiveVital Records Program,” just a few examples of training sessions provided. Shealso strengthens the role of women business owners within the community by focusingon building business relationship with other women owned companies throughsocial media and networking groups in Texas. Furthermore, as a Board member forThe Professional Group of Houston, a diverse professional women’s organization,she provides learning opportunities for women from many different industriesand building meaningful relationships.
