Biography
Laura Bertrand Cook
Laura is passionate about quality, service and advocacy and has spent her career of 30 years in the healthcare and wellness industries, perpetuating the philosophy of holistic care. Ms. Cook is a Certified Community Health Education Trainer, Co-Founder of Evergreen Private Care and is currently the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships here at Family Tree Private Care.
Laura’s passion for advocacy and creating a better care experience was heightened by her personal experiences. Both her father and mother came to live with her during her mother’s serious battle with an acute illness. She emerged from her mother’s care journey with an even greater sensitivity to the details that take personal care from being good to being the best it can and should be.
Ms. Cook has been in elected board positions for non-profit organizations, including The Partnership for the Baylor College of Medicine, and is currently the Chairman of the Board for Village Health International and participates in multiple advisory board capacities. She received her B.A. from McNeese State University in 1989. Laura actively participates in political events, education in the healthcare community, and empowerment and mentoring for professionals in the industry. She is the busy mom of two amazing children, Makenna and Hayden Wyatt and has a strong love of the fine arts, gardening, travel and design.
